About the Artist

I have been a Painter for over 40 years. I don’t like to call myself an Artist; that is up to the people who come to look at my work to determine. If a painting moves you, then I may be an artist. I am primarily a watercolorist, but recently I have been experimenting with just about everything that can be dissolved in water. My training occurred primarily at Wichita State University and a bunch of workshops. I currently live and work in Overland Park, Kansas. I love to work with scenes from nature, and traveling has exposed me to a variety of wonderful vistas.  I think my favorite subject is the red rock country in Utah and Arizona. I have enjoyed some recent success. I had a piece accepted into the Kansas Great Eight Show at the Wichita Art Museum, which crossed off a bucket-list item. I have also been chosen four times to participate in the Red River Watercolor Society’s Annual National Water Media Exhibition. My other artistic endeavors include 3D and 2D animation, as well as digital illustration.
